Pricing

Pricing built around outcome, not seats.

Validera pays for itself when it prevents two errors a month. Every catch beyond that is upside. Pricing scales with your team and use case — but the value calculation is always the same: cost of Validera vs. cost of the next overspend you didn't catch.

Start here

3-month pilot

$4,500flat · up to 25 seats

Run Validera against your real workflows for three months. Prove the catch rate, see the prevented-spend dashboard, then convert to an annual contract sized to your team.

Why a fixed pilot price: we'd rather earn the annual contract by showing dollar wins than by selling you a forecast. The pilot is small enough to be a low-risk decision, and short enough that the catch rate is the only thing that matters.

How annual pricing works

After the pilot, annual contracts are built from three pieces. Final price depends on team size, contract length, and add-ons. We'll quote it during the pilot conversion conversation.

Platform fee

The infrastructure layer

Audit log retention, dashboard, override export, evidence packaging, support. Same fee whether you have ten agents or fifty.

Per-seat

Scales with team size

Tiered: per-seat price drops as your team grows. Annual contracts only — month-to-month adds a small premium.

Add-ons

Optional, per use case

Custom platform adapters (sponsored or exclusive). Extended evidence retention with auditor self-service. Compliance-tier upgrades.

What affects the final number: team size (typically 10–200 agents), contract length (annual or multi-year), source-of-truth and booking platforms in scope, and whether you need extended audit-evidence features for a regulated audience.

What every customer gets

Frequently asked, before you ask

The questions procurement and ops teams ask in the first call. Answered here so we can spend that call on the harder ones.

Is the $4,500 pilot price negotiable?

The pilot price is set to roughly cover our actual delivery costs (Anthropic API spend, support time, dashboard provisioning), so it doesn't have a lot of room. Two paths to flex it:

Design-partner discount. We'll discount the pilot significantly for early customers who agree to provide a public case study and reference rights once the catch rate is validated. We're at the stage where reference customers matter more than cash.

Larger-pilot upcharge. If you need more than 25 seats in the pilot or you're spanning multiple business units, we'll size accordingly — typically up to $9,000 for a 50-seat pilot.

What happens after the 3-month pilot?

About 30 days before the pilot ends we'll show you the prevented-spend dashboard, the override patterns, and a sized annual quote. You decide whether to convert.

If you don't convert, your audit log stays exportable for 30 days, then we delete it on request and confirm in writing. There is no auto-charge and no auto-renewal trap. The pilot is the pilot.

Do you offer multi-year contracts and discounts?

Yes. Annual is the default after the pilot.

Two-year contracts get a 10–15% discount on the per-seat rate. Three-year contracts get up to 20%. Multi-year also locks in your pricing against future increases — useful if you expect your team to grow during the term.

We can structure a multi-year deal to lock per-seat pricing while letting your seat count grow without a re-negotiation.

Can we self-host or run Validera on-prem?

Not today. All operational data lives in Supabase Sydney (ap-southeast-2) and the backend services run on Vercel's global edge.

Self-hosting is a heavy engineering lift and we're deferring it until a customer with a hard regulatory requirement signs an enterprise contract that funds the work. If that's you, raise it on the first call — the answer isn't a flat no, it's a longer conversation.

How long does implementation take?

Typically two weeks from kickoff to first verdict in production. The first week is configuring your tenant, adding agents, and either using a stock platform adapter or scoping a custom one. The second week is supervised rollout to a small group of agents to calibrate the rules, then expansion to the full team.

If your source-of-truth platform is one we already support (Zammad), the timeline is closer to one week.

How are custom platform adapters scoped and delivered?

Two flavors:

Sponsored adapter ($5,000 one-time). We scope it together, deliver within 30 days, and the adapter becomes a platform asset — other customers can use it later. Recommended for the most common case.

Exclusive adapter ($20,000+ one-time). Never resold to anyone else. Longer scoping conversation. Use when the platform itself is proprietary or competitive-advantage.

Either way, we own ongoing maintenance.

What's your turnaround on a security questionnaire?

Five business days for standard questionnaires (CAIQ Lite, SIG Lite, custom). Longer for the full 200+ question vendor packs.

Important honesty point: we are not SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 certified yet — both are on the roadmap but neither is in place. See /security for the current state and what we're working on. We answer questionnaires honestly and don't claim controls we don't have.

Where does our data live? Can we choose a region?

Today, all customer data lives in Sydney (Supabase ap-southeast-2). Backend functions run on Vercel's global edge, region nearest the user. Anthropic API calls go to the United States.

We do not currently offer customer-selected regions or EU data residency. If a specific region is a hard requirement for your procurement or compliance team, raise it before signing — we'll be honest about whether we can meet it on your timeline.

What happens to our data if we don't renew?

It's yours. Within 30 days of contract end you can request export (CSV or JSON, structured by event type) or deletion. We confirm deletion in writing.

There is no lock-in mechanism. The audit log is structured data you can take with you and load into another system if you ever need to. No proprietary file formats, no archived blob you can't read.
